This is a nice and lightweight backpack that is perfect for a day hike. There is enough room to put everything one might need for a hike.The straps have enough padding for what this backpack is designed for. The chest straps can be removed if so desired.The back of the backpack has two areas where the padding is nice and pretty thick which is good in case someone tends to over-pack like I'm guilty of on occasion.There is an area on each side to attach trekking poles as well as an area inside for a water bladder.All of the zippers are smooth and easy to grab. The pull tabs are big enough to grab as well. The zippers and pull tabs are easy to grab with gloves on.In conclusion, this is a very good lightweight backpack for someone who wants to get into hiking and doesn't want to carry a heavier backpack or doesn't need to pack a lot of stuff.

Used it in nice 2 mile hike. Comfy and straps feels ok. Lots of room for snacks and bottle of water. All in all it’s an excellent bag.

Well designed hiking backpack has all the right features. First it's comfortable with breathable mesh front straps and 4 pads on the back - 2 for shoulder blades and 2 pads for hips. Has a compartment good for water bladder with tube and loops for attaching hiking poles. There is a strap with hook for your keys, side pockets for water bottles and lots of pockets to organize your stuff including a smaller sized cell phone on the front strap.The pack fits nicely with a chest strap and waist strap to hold it in place while you move. 15L size is small, but you can hang some items and as mentioned the size water bottle pockets are outside the main compartment. So its a great light weight design good for day hikes and I'll be testing this out more in the mountains in a couple weeks.

This is just an OK small backpack. I like the padded and webbed back. The canvas material is fairly thin for a backpack with the usual pockets and snaps. The buckle on the chest strap is tiny....difficult to disconnect because of the small size. Water bottle mesh pockets are thin and elastic is not very strong. There are a couple of cords, one on each side. Don't think I would want to hang anything important from them. Tab on one was broken off.If your needs are not too demanding, this pack would work for you but It's not something I would take on long day hikes over rough terrain fully loaded.

I was expecting there to be a way to use this with a water system of some sort, either a bladder or bottle, with the tube feeding through the bag like some of the other brands have, but I am not seeing a way to do that. That is actually the main reason we got this one, my child really wants a backpack that can be used with that kind of water hose for drinking while walking.But it turns out that it is a pretty cute and very lightweight backpack with lots of different storage pockets and some nice materials that make it seem really breathable where you want that (on the back and on the straps, yet also waterproof for rainy days.This is also a little larger than I was hoping/expecting, but I do still really like it quite a bit. It is standard/ good fit on me (5'7"), large on my child (3'8"), and pretty small on his dad (6'1"). It has 2 sets of adjustable straps, for the chest and waist which I really appreciate to help this stay on my child, and it has several pockets inside and outside for keeping things organized. My child wants to use this for forest school and I want to use it as well, for light walks/hikes and outdoor events. It seems washable and pretty durable as well.Overall we are pleased except for the water system issue!

This makes for a great hiking day pack. All the fabric, zippers, and hardware are decent quality and well made. The straps are not cushioned but are still comfortable and made from an interesting mesh that lets air through. There’s a sternum strap and waist belt. The backplate is cushioned and appears to have a foam rubber core; enough to give the pack some structure and keep things from poking you in the back. For a light day pack, this is fine. The main compartment is generously large, 18x8x4 inches in size. Enough to hold a hoodie and your lunch. Inside is a pocket for a water bladder (not included) and a zippered pocket. You can feed the hose from the bladder out through the right shoulder strap. On top of the main compartment is a smaller, zippered compartment. It has a clip for keys. On top of that compartment is an elastic pocket with a clip closure. On either side of the pack are elastic mesh pockets that each hold a full sized water bottle. There are two hiking pole holders on each side of the pack and there are several reflector strips on the back, a nice safety touch. So, overall this makes for a great hiking pack. You can carry a jacket, lunch for two people, two water bottles AND a water bladder, hiking poles, and a first aid kit, all in a compact, good looking pack.
